- act respectfully toward instructors, staff, fellow participants, guests, and venue property;

You are responsible for your own personal property and for any damage caused by you, your dependents, or any person attending on your behalf, except to the extent caused by our negligence or misconduct.
You acknowledge that acting, movement, improvisation, and related training may involve physical activity, emotional expression, vocal use, scene work, and other exercises that may carry ordinary risks of injury, strain, or emotional discomfort. You agree to disclose any relevant health, accessibility, or safety concerns in advance so that reasonable accommodations can be considered where appropriate.
4. Payment Terms and Conditions
All fees, tuition, deposits, package prices, coaching rates, and other charges are payable in the currency stated at the time of purchase, unless otherwise indicated. Prices may be subject to applicable taxes, including GST/HST/PST where required by law.
- Payment may be required in full at the time of booking or registration, or in installments where expressly offered.
- Your enrollment or booking is not confirmed until payment is successfully processed or otherwise accepted by us.
- If a payment fails, is reversed, disputed, or charged back, we may suspend or cancel your access to the relevant services.
- You are responsible for any fees charged by your financial institution or payment provider.
- We may use third-party payment processors; their terms and privacy practices may also apply.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, fees are non-transferable and may not be applied to other classes, sessions, or persons without our prior written consent. Promotional pricing, discounts, scholarships, and credits may be limited in duration and subject to eligibility requirements.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Because class sizes, scheduling, staffing, and venue arrangements are planned in advance, cancellation and refund rights are subject to the following policy unless a more specific written policy applies to a particular program:
- Classes and Workshops: Cancellations made by you must be submitted in writing to our contact email. Refund eligibility, if any, will depend on the notice period provided and whether the program has commenced.
- Private Coaching: Coaching sessions may require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellation or rescheduling, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged in full.
- Studio Cancellations: If we cancel a class, workshop, or coaching session, we may, at our discretion, offer a makeup session, credit, rescheduling, or refund for the cancelled portion.
- Non-Attendance: Failure to attend a booked service does not entitle you to a refund, unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise.
- Special Programs: Certain intensives, showcases, industry events, or limited-capacity programs may be non-refundable once booked, subject to applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any mandatory consumer rights that may apply under applicable Canadian provincial or federal law. Where those rights apply, they will prevail.
Approved refunds, if any, will be processed using the original payment method where reasonably possible and within a commercially reasonable time.
6. Liability Limitations
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Maple Stage Acting Studio Ltd., its directors, officers, employees, instructors, contractors, agents, and representatives shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of our services, including loss of profits, loss of business, loss of opportunity, emotional distress, or reputational harm.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the services shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the specific service giving rise to the claim during the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or CAD $100, whichever is greater, except where liability cannot be limited by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable Canadian law.
You acknowledge that participation in acting, movement, voice, improvisation, and related activities may involve inherent risks. You voluntarily assume all such risks to the fullest extent permitted by law, except to the extent caused by our negligence or breach of these Terms.

9. Force Majeure
We shall not be responsible or liable for any delay, interruption, cancellation, or failure to perform our obligations where such failure is caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, fire, flood, severe weather, epidemic or pandemic, public health restrictions, labour disputes, power outages, internet or telecommunications failures, venue unavailability, government orders, war, terrorism, civil unrest, transportation disruption, or supplier failures.
In the event of a force majeure occurrence, we may, at our discretion, reschedule services, provide an alternative format, issue credits, or offer refunds to the extent required by law or expressly stated in a separate policy.

You agree that the courts located in Calgary, Alberta shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, claim, or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or the services, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules or other non-waivable legal rights that may apply.
